Info-Cult began running free support group meetings in Montreal in 2018.
This group is intended for those who have experienced or are experiencing controlling relationships. This can include various challenges in connection with groups, systems or environments with a high level of commitment, demand or control.
This support group aims to provide a confidential space for people to share with others who have had similar experiences and to help cope with feelings of isolation.
Since 2020, the meetings are held online.
They are facilitated by experienced professionals who act as hosts and moderators.
Participation is voluntary and attendance can be more or less regular.

Alain Nadeau
Holding a Bachelor’s degree (Université du Québec en Outaouais) as well as a Master’s degree in psychoeducation (Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue), Alain Nadeau integrates a psychoeducational approach into his psychotherapy practice. He also uses different cognitive-behavioral techniques which consider a wide range of risk and protective factors that may affect the adaptive capacities of individuals. His approach involves paying particular attention to belief and value systems and their potential to influence individual choices and behaviors. Clinically, his practice focuses on anxiety disorders and mood disorders. Alain has many years of experience working with First Nation clients, and he has a keen interest in different worldviews. Since 2018, he has developed an expertise on issues related to psychological influence and cultic phenomena in the context of his involvement with Info-Cult support groups.
