Safety in Romantic and Sexual Relationships for Former Members

In cultic groups, norms relating to intimate relationships can differ radically from those found among the general public, which can make former members more vulnerable to exploitation. This workshop will take a non-judgmental, educational approach to the topics of safe dating practices, risk reduction, recognizing red flags, and establishing personal boundaries. This activity is open only to former members of high-control or high-demand groups or relationships, and will be held in both English and French. Each session will include an educational segment followed by a group discussion, allowing participants to share their own experiences and explore the particular challenges they have encountered.
